Hello Everyone from the weary travelers, We’ve been on the road for the better part of the last three months starting in Banning, Ca. where the Thiem’s and our family helped to build a new nursery and add more lighting in the Sanctuary. They have several young families which will hopefully fill the nursery with kids soon. From there we went to Lompoc
to help beautify their building, they have a block building which was in severe
need of some paint. After lots of pressure washing the old paint off the block
and much prep work we were able to get the outside of the building painted along
with repairing and re-roofing the entryway and we also gutted the bathrooms, and
made them handicap accessible. We left Redding on Wed. morning, and headed for home when a bearing on the trailer went out. By God’s good grace this happened just south of Redding, Ca. which was good because my parents live there and I had a place to stay while the trailer was being fixed. The repair shop said the repairs could take several days to complete it, and the twins had an appointment the next day to have their wisdom teeth out, so they went home on Amtrak. Of course anytime I’m in Redding I can count on work needing to be done so we set 6 new toilets in the church. I did get to do some fishing with my Dad which was a lot of fun; one day we caught some and the other time we only caught moss. There are so many fires all around Redding that we decided to clear a fire break around his home because one side of his property is a creek bed with lots of shrubbery and trees. It took them a week to fix the trailer. I headed home about 6 pm on Tuesday and arrived home at 1 am, slept a few hours then headed down to Pixley to help them install some fans in their Sanctuary. The Thiem’s were already there and we were able to get the work done in a day. I am now finally home and taking the day to get this report out and take care of some of the paper work that piles up while we are away. We have most of our bills set up on auto pay which helps but it always seems that something unexpected will be waiting for you when you get home and of course there are always things around the house that need attention too. Tomorrow I’ll be obtaining permits and materials for the Godbehere’s roof which is my next project. I also have a project in Clovis which will begin on the 4th of August. Please keep us in your prayers as we do this work Pray that the Lord will supply our financial needs, as this last trip to Washington cost us more than it cost us to go back to Florida three years ago to help with Hurricane damage. Maybe someone could start a bio-diesel ministry J Note: We still need approximately $1,500 additional monthly support to help cover travel expenses, if you would like us to come by your Church to give a report we’d be glad too! Yours in Christ, |
